I just hate myself who can not make more money but that's life! That's why I

Rohde & Schartz mentioned by RH might be a good idea since I have some
experiences (my lab bought 2 $75k R&S spectrum analyzer 4 years ago) and
confidence on their product.

When the games favor only a few players, the level of the whole association
will be worse. Look at how US basketball team played at world wide tourment
and you see what I mean.
I think tuner is somewhat complicate. It has to receive well and amplify well.
But over $7000 is crazy. Even a Marantz 10B is much much less than that. Maybe
some people think it is well worthy.

How about Rohde & Schwarz EU-6201 VHF/FM relay receiver.
I never heard about this tuner but according to the seller on eBay auction,
said:
All serious collectors know that this is the best FM-tuner ever made when it
comes to sensitivity, separation - as well as sound. Please note, that the
term "receiver" is used on this tuner in the professional approach: - this is
a tuner which delivers a MPX-signal. There is NO internal amplifier or
decoder. The tuner delivers a MPX-signal. This is the tuner the German
Broadcast Service uses - still today!! - to transport his FM-signals over long
distances. It works this way: the signal is broadcasted and is then received
by an EU-6201. Then it is encoded and broadcasted again by an amplifier and
received again by an EU6201. These "chains" of receivers bring the signal over

broadcasted again that many times - the FM-signal in Germany is regarded as
the best sounding worldwide. That gives you an idea about the sonic quality of

Years ago when I checked, an original Day Sequerra tuner will set you back
about $7,500 to $10,000. No kidding. My friend's wife bought it for his

Exactly,all 4 final games so far are too boring to watch, even NCAA final 4
games is more interesting ! Just wonder how to justify the expensive ticket
for the audience ! About classic tuner such as Sequerra and Marantz, I haven't
have chance to listen to them but they looks pretyy good. Unfortunately, they

The game last night was so bad. I thought I was watching 2 high school teams.
Spurs shot 29% from the field?! What a joke!
Classic tuners -- I listened to the classic Day Sequerra tuner at a friend's
system -- fantastic sounding tuner and also very impressive to look at! At
that time the tuner sounded quite a bit better than the CD system he has. Much
sweeter sounding and the sound just suspended in air. See if you can find one
and don't hate me when you see the price :P

沒聽過這樣的組合，但是小喇叭用70瓦的擴大機去驅動應該不會有推力不足的狀況。當
然，如果你拿Krell兩百瓦的大傢伙?硗茢D，那你會說Primare推力不夠。但是如果拿單端
管機?肀容^，你又會說Primare真是神兵利器了。我覺得只要你搭配起?砟軌蚵牭斤�?M愉?�
的聲音，就不必再想推力到底夠不夠的問題。

角有將直接音能量集中投射到聆聽位置的優點。戲院、音樂?d這�?殘響豐富的大空間多用
號角喇叭，不是沒有道理的。
至於大空間是否就要花大錢？其�?仔細選擇高效率的優質喇叭，或者是在大空間中採取近
場聆聽，都可以用小錢得到讓人?M意的聲音。

平心而言, 好的電器規格dosn't mean anything.
聲音是很微妙的, 一些晶體機spec好的不得了, 失真率less than 0.005% 低到儀器無法測
出, 有的會標榜unmeasureable, s/n 比破100db, frequency response 高過200khz,
damping factor 破1000, 聲音呢?
而管機失真率低於1%就不得了, frequency response 20-20khz, s/n 85db, Damping
factor 200, 但聲音就是那麼迷人, 讓大伙前仆後繼非管機不可.
個人比較care的除了音色外,耐用度是最大考量.
今天較閒, 多囉唆一些, 請海涵.

挑高樓中樓可用好器材嗎 各位先進 我的房子是挑高樓中樓 每層面寬4.5米 深 10米 一層
14坪 一樓前三分之一為客?d 我打算在此放一套音響或家庭劇院 雖然客?d約寬深各4.5米
約4-5坪
但事�?上聲音會向餐?d及二樓散開(相當於28坪) 我聽純音樂立體聲為多 也想試試家庭劇
院 不知這種空間能否利用 空間感會不會不見了 還是放棄算了
我五樓的空間是4.5Mx7m約九坪 如果這麼大的空間拿?碛檬遣皇且ê芏噱X

您看的試聽室資料應該是很久以前了。現在音響論壇與新視聽兩本雜誌共有兩個試聽室，
一般說?韮陕暤榔鞑亩嘣谛≡嚶犑疫M行試聽，多聲道器材則多半在大試聽室測試。
雖然社裡沒有準備一套標準器材，不過社裡面?�?頉]欠過好的多聲道喇叭組合，所以倒也
不成問題。我們也都會標明每次測試使用的器材。我個人測試多聲道器材一定採用ITU-R擺
放，因為那是聆聽多聲道音樂最佳的方式。

wirings, installations...., 喜歡嗎? 準備100?埜Ｌm克林綠鈔吧.
那對cs1.2, run沒三天小伙子等不及抱走了,沒試1812, 只交代他run各把月後再自己試.
一般電器品只注重安全性,lab是針對ac power safety, radiation, magnetic field..作
認證, audio frequency 死不了人就沒有那麼緊要憑良心製造. 大品牌產品整台都會送
approval,事關大公司商譽,是預防萬一出問題整批退貨會死的很慘. 至於high end audio
products都是小公司無法忍受送檢費時費錢, 很少整台送檢的, 不過台灣有CNS
regulation, 電器品進口都要電檢磁檢, 過了才能販賣. audio specification不列入檢測
項目.
high end gears 都會用approved components而且over spec去製造免得在零件上出問題,
但組裝品管不良或設計有問題就有耐用度不佳之情況發生. 嚴謹的製造商再開發出proto
type時都會做life test, 操各把月後再測spec是否OK.
年輕時幹過一陣buyer inspector, 經常的工作就是出貨前到工?S做inspection, ?某鲐�
lot 依AQL Standard抽檢依貨品specification用儀器逐項測, 最容易出問題的都是RMS額
定輸出, 接上audio generator,Voltmeter, distortion meter, Oscilloscpe, dummyload
就出真彰, 我就碰過變壓器,電容器,power晶體當場掛點, 或是RMS, THD不符spec的.
不知目前代理商對自家進口器材是否都有做過audio部分的檢測讓消費者買的安心.

Damn brother -- are you still working?! Testing lab for audio -- you wish.
That's why some of the stuff are so unreliable. I know people into this
wonderful "hobby" who has only heard his "first system" running together for
less than an hour -- either the preamp broke, the amp broke, malfunction
cartridges, cables not terminated correctly, etc. But on the other hand,
because one is able to bring products to the market with minimal regulations,
the industry is able to move at a much faster pace. This also gave young,
small companies a chance to go into the market. Almost all hi end companies
started off from their garage -- ARC, Magnepan, etc. If there were testing
labs (such as FDA or UL) that governs new products those companies will never
exist. Of course, the individual components such as transformer, capacitors,
etc. are different.

approval以後才能出貸.. 是不是有一個lab專門test音響的stability & reliability..還

StarrySkey: 有一個很粗淺的比較法' 當你覺得音效不夠刺激的時候' 如果要轉到將近11
點中方向的時候才會覺得有點過癮' 但是聲音已經有一點失真'就有可能品質有一點瑕疵'

之所以有此一問,因我對focus的印像也是偏瘦,因此即使香港一片盛讚之聲,但我對focus的
觀感總有些許保留.此種印像是建立在多年前聆聽他家的較低價的fs11小喇叭所留下的.
但日前聽到一對signature系列的 fs68,不但有相當溫暖的平衡,且中高音亦頗為細�?,低音
延伸更令我驚訝,比起旁邊一對atc scm12,還略有超前之勢.
怪了,難道是我木耳?還是signature系列真有獨到之處?

Supprisingly, it is Parker leads the scoreboard in game 3! What a hero from
the youngster ! There are some concerns about older tuner on the electonic
component and oscilator. Am I right ? correct me if I'm wrong ! I have a
pretty good tuner, Proton AT-670 (designed by a famous German engineer as I
remembered, class B by stereophile), but looking for a even better one ! I
installed a 160"-beam antennas and pro preamp to pick the signal from NYC,
pretty satisfied so far.
Yes, 40" now is kind of afforable but I guess there is still a long way to go
for 60"+ planar tv ?

目前多聲道系統還在架構中，等到全部底定會在雜誌上與大家分享。其�?最挑剔的多聲道
器材乃是空間，如果沒有辦法照ITU-R方式擺放，再好的器材聽多聲道音樂也是枉然。就連
TAS HP最近開始的多聲道�?驗，也無法做到將後置聲道距離拉出，因此他常說無法聽到多
聲道比兩聲道優秀的表現，我一點也不意外。
錯別字是雜誌的基本功，身為雜誌編輯者是沒有任何理由推託的，我們會持續自我要求?K

解.不過安�?的產品大多用於清???N具方面,我想不太適合用?肀Ｗo端子.
端子與接頭我個人是用日本Sunhayato之接點?突顒﹪娫诙俗优c接頭上,利用其不乾性複合
油膜作為保護效用還好,因?奈磁c同好討論過此事,是否不當亦不得而知,藉此希望眾高手看
到後也能指點指點.
PS:使用晶亮軟性洗??劑時量請勿太多且須輕擦,不然碰上MIT的產品時會把那薄的讓你感覺
不到的鍍金層給擦掉.就不好玩了.

For low price range, someone advise me AMC tuner (~US$170) is good enough.
I have a stand alone radio already. So I guess I will not buy tuner in near
future.
Yes rear projection, that is what I was talking about. I know some Taiwan
foundaries are making plasma. This trend will make the price go down faster.

The largets CRT I know is 36", mine is the so called rear projection ! Plasma
is my long-term dream too (but can not see it cheap within next 3 years) and a
HDTV decoder might be on my short-term list (should be cheap next year after

Life is tough here ! No SARS but tough job market ! I still watch some NBA
games even though the king is gone but no NHL! BTW Dunkin is my main man,
